Shaping the Future with Research at ITU: Turkish Natural Language Processing Studies
Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, Rector of Istanbul Technical University (ITU), visited our ITU Natural Language Processing (ITUNLP) research group. During his visit, he met with undergraduate and graduate students, research assistants, and faculty members and gained insights into their work and their project titled "Automated Gamification Method for Morphologically Rich Languages Learning."
Our group, operating under the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering, focuses on Turkish natural language processing studies that are crucial for our country's technological and digital transformation as well as its security. These studies also serve as a reference for developing linguistic resources for countries with which we collaborate, including the Turkic world.
Within the scope of ongoing projects, we exchanged ideas on innovative initiatives to enhance university-industry collaborations in our group's areas of activity.
